Fables!

We had a busy week with fables. We started on Monday with reading "The Tortoise and the Hare" from our book and making a foldable.

                        

On Tuesday, we did a vocabulary rating on words found in "The Ant and the Grasshopper." We then got into groups to read the fable.

                                  

                                   

Wednesday was a lot of fun with "The Shepherd Boy and the Wolf"! We completed a pre-reading activity and read the story together. Next, we broke off into small groups for a little readers theatre! Mrs. D even joined the fun!

                                 

               

We came back together to do a character analysis of the three fables we had learned so far.  

                       

                                      

Thursday was all about preparation for our fable test. We went over "The Fox and the Grapes" and "The Crow and the Pitcher" together.
